NEW 8/2022! Desirable cottage on the private ALL-SPORTS, Cooley Lake. Entire home is yours! The space was recently renovated and features fun Orange/Blue decor which adds a lively feel to the small cottage year-round. A beautiful deck w/ gas grill overlooks the lake with furniture for lounging + sunbathing. Enjoy pure Michigan sunrises/sets. Summer months we offer a Pontoon Boat (for$ rent-see details)! Winter Months; enjoy ice-skating/fishing. Located near parks, shopping, dining golf..etc!
The space
The cutest bright cottage on Cooley lake. Features turf front yard with outdoor games in the summer. Facing south, Lots of sun in the back yard! The home has top notch kitchen upgrades and gas grill/wood outdoor fire pit. A beautiful deck overlooks the lake. Perfect for feeling happy on the lake as the main area of the space has a super big & bright windows with views of the lake and otherwise white/bright feel. Newly decorated/styled. Two bedroom + 2 full bath (Two queen beds). Summer months- dock available with boat/water toys available for rent. Large back “yard” space, perfect for bonfires and hang outs. Year-round perfect for a fishing experience. Please note the backyard has rocks so plan appropriate shoes!
Guest access
Guest is able to access driveway to home(limit 2 cars), the front turf-yard, the home, the backpack, backyard and lake. Guest is not allowed access inside garage.

Please note that the dock may be periodically used as a common area- For example, as our airbnb guest, if you do confirm that you wish to NOT rent out the boat/paddleboards/kayaks and we may have another renter (or host) choose to take out the boat/paddleboards – so please NOTE that there may be (temporary) sharing of the dock- However sharing of dock would be notified beforehand and within respectable time frames for privacy for our airbnb guest- aka. no loitering.
Other things to note
Pets: Pets are not allowed at our home. ONLY Service animals are allowed and must be leashed, not left unattended, under control, potty trained and otherwise adhere to Airbnb Service animal guidelines & Requirements.

Safety: Please note that there are steps into the home and thus the home is not handicap accessible.
Being on a lake, children are welcome but are not to be left unattended.

Bonfires:
Should you wish to use the FirePit, New firewood is not readily provided, though there may be some available to use on the property and are welcome to, there a corner store and gas station nearby where new bundles should be available for purchase. If you choose to have a fire please make sure fire is fully put out and chairs are returned and cushions/blankets/pillows are brought in or tied so they don’t blow into the lake before leaving/going to bed.

Grill: Yes, We do have a gas grill on location! We request that it not be moved for safety. Should you wish to use the grill, we provide grilling utensils/mitt in the kitchen. There may be a propane tank already installed, however if it runs out we do not readily check/ provide propane tanks. There is a corner store that can refill or provide a new tank if needed though please ready out to us as we may be able to get one to you. If you need help with the tank install please let us know! Also please make sure to properly dispose of any grease.

Parking: There is parking available on the driveway to home, as it is a seemingly side by side/shared driveway with the neighbors there is 2-3 car maximum. Please note the home driveway is a gravel driveway and In winter month conditions (being in Michigan) may be snowy or icy. We do provide salt/shovels and but please be aware of potential hazard. Please message us if there is extensive snow fall so we can work on a solution for snow removal. The road is rather narrow around the corner where the home is located and thus would not recommend planning on street parking. Depending on make/model you may be able to get two or three cars on driveway to home however subject to individual parking ability and car type.

Fishing: If you are going to be fishing off the boat/ice fishing conservation officers require fishing license on public lakes
$10 daily pass or $26 annually (easily purchase online) Michigan.gov dnr or purchase at Meijer, Dunhams

TV: We have Roku and we have an Apple TV device (a streaming media player) which means it lets you watch videos, listen to music, play games, and use other types of apps from the Internet onto the TV. Guests have the ability to watch whatever subscription service they may already have (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) via these devices on the tv. Hit the apple remote “menu” button twice to awake/activate tv.

The dock area is perfect for swimming and features mostly sandy bottoms- However there is Seaweed is further out on lake.

Boat delivery *Boat is currently in the water
We anticipate a similar delivery date (early May) 2023-Will update

’22, Boat passed U.S. Coast Guard Inspection (seasonally assessed).
Boat will be in water until mid/late September, please ask if booking during this month and would like the boat.
During the summer months(Install Date varies- est. mid May 2022- through September 2022) we will have a pontoon boat on the property available for rent as well (Driver must be 21+y/o with a valid drivers license and sign waiver) $200 per day (any day(s) you’d like during your stay). No half days. Weekly Discounts may be available- please inquire. Boat is our 2018 Pontoon with a 25HP Yamaha motor. Fits strict MAXIMUM 6 people. Michigan law says Children under 6 must wear lifejacket at all times. Availability: priority is our guests and there is no need to book/pay in advance. Upon arrival or anytime during your stay let us know what days you’d like it (since Michigan is weather-dependent) and we will make sure that the tank is filled with gas, give waiver/orientation video. Only after confirmation that you not interested the boat may be taken off property by host/other renters. Please have cash/credit card/ other online forms of payment on date of renting. Cash receipts are available.

Boat usage recommendations: If planning a long day on the lake, We recommend bringing your own boat Tumblr/cups, bluetooth speaker (to avoid killing boat battery from stereo when not in use), a cooler, and of course, sunscreen! The boat has a radio with bluetooth capabilities while running.

Kayaks& Paddle boards: are also available for $25 per kayak per day. We plan to have 2 brand new single person kayaks. Please reach out if you have interest in paddle boards. Feel welcome to bring your own kayak/paddle board/floaties. We are not able to accommodate docking of second boat/jet-ski on our dock.
