[TEST] The Roost at Hayden Lake

Escape to Hayden Lake. Our waterfront guesthouse is well-equipped for a relaxing stay in beautiful North Idaho. You’ll find a modern rustic space with a fully stocked kitchen, cozy fireplace, serene surroundings, and an inspiring view of the lake. During any sort of winter weather, 4WD or snow tires are advised to get you safely in and out of the neighborhood. Availability opens exactly three months before the date, so please check back if you’re looking to book more than three months out.
The space
The guesthouse is 780 sq ft on top of our detached garage. It is located on the hill above our home, about the height of a seven-story building from the water. The interior is fresh and new, having been completely remodeled in 2018-2020. The many stairs to the lake are steep and not recommended for anyone with balance issues. The entire property is strictly non-smoking. Please check out the full list of amenities to understand what is and isn’t included. It’s a unique space with great views of the lake.
Guest access
The guesthouse is all yours. If you don’t mind the 165 steep stairs (that’s a lot!), you’re welcome at the waterfront. Note, there is a boardwalk, but no dock during the winter, from approximately October to April.
Other things to note
We’re an active family, so you can expect to see us coming and going. The location has excellent cell phone coverage from the major carriers and reliable WiFi (~30 Mbps down, ~4 Mbps up). There is no laundry onsite. A washer/dryer is not listed in the included amenities. Did we mention the exterior stairs to the lake are steep and not for anyone with balance issues? No cable or satellite TV is offered, but you’re welcome to browse all the streaming content available. But honestly, this is not a great place to watch TV.
